Everything you need to know about HexCam
Frequently Asked Questions
How does HexCam work?
Point the camera at anything. HexCam reads the color at the center of the screen in real time and shows its HEX, RGB, and HSL values. Tap to save a color and it goes into your palette.
Are the colors exact?
HexCam is a very handy reference for inspiration, design, and organizing palettes, but readings depend on the camera, the lighting, and the device screen. For work requiring absolute precision (printing, manufacturing), confirm the values with a calibrated instrument.
What's the difference between the free version and HexCam Pro?
The free version lets you save up to 5 colors. HexCam Pro unlocks an unlimited palette, watermark-free sharing, and every feature in the app.
What are the HexCam Pro plans?
There are three options: weekly, annual (best value), and lifetime (one-time payment). The weekly and annual plans are auto-renewing subscriptions; the lifetime plan is paid once.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iPhone Settings, tap your name, go to Subscriptions, select HexCam, and choose cancel. Access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
I switched iPhones / reinstalled the app. How do I get HexCam Pro back?
Open the app, go to the HexCam Pro screen, and tap Restore. Purchases tied to the same Apple ID will be reactivated.
Is my data saved in the cloud?
No. All colors, notes, and photos stay only on your device. HexCam works offline and sends nothing to servers. As a result, uninstalling the app deletes your data.
Why does HexCam ask for camera access?
The camera is essential to identify the color in front of you — it's the core function of the app. No photo is sent or stored without your action. You can revoke the permission in Settings > HexCam.
