Welcome to SplitFair. By using this app, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. SplitFair is developed and maintained by DevSkin.
1. Description of the Service
SplitFair is an app that helps groups of people split bills for restaurants, bars, barbecues, trips, and similar situations. The app lets you create groups with a unique code, record consumed items, automatically calculate how much each participant owes, split shared items, add an optional tip, track payment status, and sync everything in real time among participants.
2. Acceptable Use
By using SplitFair, you agree to:
- Use the app only for lawful and personal bill-splitting purposes;
- Enter truthful information about items and amounts;
- Not use the app to defraud, deceive, or harm other participants;
- Not attempt to interfere with, overload, or compromise the security of the synchronization service;
- Respect the other participants in the group.
3. Disclaimer Regarding Calculations and Amounts
SplitFair is an auxiliary organization tool. While we strive to make the splitting calculations accurate, financial responsibility for amounts, payments, and settlements lies exclusively with the users. The app does not perform, intermediate, or guarantee any financial transaction. Always verify the amounts before making payments.
DevSkin is not responsible for amount discrepancies, user typing errors, unfulfilled agreements between participants, or any losses arising from use of the app.
4. No Warranties
SplitFair is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the synchronization service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
5. Intellectual Property
All rights in the SplitFair app, including its name, logo, design, code, and content, belong to DevSkin and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution of any part of the app is prohibited.
6. User Content
You are solely responsible for the data you enter in the app (nicknames, items, amounts). You must not enter offensive, unlawful content or content that violates third-party rights.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevSkin shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.
8. Changes to the Terms
These Terms may be updated periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent Brazilian courts.
