By using PetVax, you fully agree to the terms and conditions described in this document. Read them carefully before using the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Downloading, installing, or using the PetVax application constitutes full acceptance of these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any provision, we recommend that you do not use the app.
2. Service Description
PetVax is an iOS application providing a digital vaccination card and health management for pets (dogs and cats), with the following features:
- Pet profile and registration (name, species, breed, age, weight, photo)
- Records of administered vaccines, dewormings, and antiparasitics
- Automatic vaccine schedule calculation based on vaccine templates
- Local reminders for upcoming doses and boosters
- Shareable digital vaccination card
- Daily care checklist with streak and configurable reminder
- Achievements (badges) based on care history
- Optional nearby veterinary clinic search
- 100% local, offline data storage
3. Legal Notice and Animal Health Limitations
PetVax does not replace consultation, evaluation, or prescription by a licensed veterinarian.
- The app is an auxiliary organization tool, not a veterinary service
- Suggested vaccination schedules are based on general protocols and may not apply to your animal in specific situations
- Always consult a veterinarian before administering, delaying, or skipping any vaccine or dewormer
- Do not use the app as the sole reference for your pet's health decisions
- App reminders depend on correct operation of the iOS notification system and should not be considered infallible
4. Free Application
PetVax is a free application, provided without charges, ads, or in-app purchases. There are no paid plans, subscriptions, or hidden premium features.
5. Conditions of Use
By using PetVax, the user agrees to:
- Use the app only for personal, legitimate purposes related to the care of their own animal(s)
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software
- Not use the app for illegal purposes or in violation of applicable law
- Not redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the app or its content
- Remain solely responsible for the accuracy of the data entered
- Respect Apple's App Store Terms of Service
6. Intellectual Property
PetVax, including its source code, design, trademarks, logos, interface, text, and other content, is the exclusive property of DevSkin. Reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use without prior written authorization is prohibited.
User-generated content (pet data, photos, records) remains the property of the user, stored locally on their device.
7. Limitation of Liability
PetVax is provided "as is", without express or implied warranties regarding:
- Absolute accuracy of suggested vaccination schedules
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Compatibility with future iOS versions
- Fitness for any specific purpose
- Prevention of accidental loss of local data
DevSkin is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including but not limited to:
- Health decisions based exclusively on the app
- Loss of local data due to device failure, uninstallation, or system corruption
- Delay or absence of notifications due to iOS settings
Keeping regular device backups via iCloud or iTunes is strongly recommended.
8. Privacy
Use of PetVax is subject to our Privacy Policy, which details how information is handled. In summary: the app runs 100% offline and no data is sent to external servers.
9. Changes to the Terms
These terms may be modified at any time at DevSkin's discretion. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates. Continued use after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.
10. Termination
The user may terminate use of the app at any time by simply uninstalling it from their device. DevSkin reserves the right to discontinue the app, suspend updates, or modify features at any time.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of São Paulo/SP are designated as competent to resolve any disputes arising from this instrument, with express waiver of any other, however privileged.
12. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms of Use is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. Tolerance of a breach of any clause shall not constitute waiver of rights.
